  • Disclaimer: I will not watch it. I'll be on my way home by train during the match.
    1. Open Notepad
    2. Paste: ÿþMSMSMS
    3. Save
    4. Open the file in Notepad again

You can vary the number of "MS", so you can clearly see it's MS which is causing it.

  • Well Italy won, and i was sad.
I liked the match, most likely the best in the cup but c'mon...clone Kahn and don't worry about the other team scoring.

  • CLONE Kahn ? Kahn would have been available I guess, for Germany

However, if one of the Germans best defenders wasn't disqualified the defense would have been much better

What do you think? They call their national leagues for "world <whatever>" especially the sports played _nowhere_ else

  • Americans do seem to have a habit of not playing anyone elses sports so they just play on their own. I think it's a historic thing through trying not to follow other countries in playing sports mainly spread through the British empire in the 19th century.

Can't be as bad as American motor racing though. Whats so good about driving round a big tarmac oval in a car that can't have any engine technology developed since the 1950's and can only be made in the States?

In the United States, many loud people hate soccer because of their short attention spans. I have always liked to play and watch the sport. (Soccer is one of the worst word corruptions in history. Whoever started to call 'Association Football' 'Soccer' was an idiot. The word 'soccer' makes no sense on its own.)
I laughed when I read "migrant workers" because one of the guys I watch 'soccer' with is a "migrant worker" from the heathen land of Liverpool, and another is a barbarian from Scotland

About NASCAR; I would compare NASCAR to le Tour de France. Certainly not all Americans like NASCAR, and I'm sure that not all French like le Tour.

    Don't make generalizations, ever.

  • In terms of regulation, both Nascar and le Tour do have some quite strict rules to exclude some technologies. But, le Tour does not have rules saying all bikes must be made in France, unlike the American only rule in Nascar.

Both have had safety problems in the past that they have failed to act on. Nascar is still very dangerous because of the positioning of a barrier round the outside of the track. Riders in le Tour weren't happy with the introduction of helmets until there was a fatal crash. Despite the high speeds and previous lack of any safety equipment, it is surprising that only 4 people have ever died on le Tour de France. Still it would have been a lot worse had they never limited the machines used:

  • Kozak6, please don't generalize all americans as soccer haters.
I watched couple of the matches at the local bar and it wasn't any less loved the watching it in Bielefeld, germany.
Simpletons like you make a bad name for many people and become presidents.
What I hate with passion is NASCAR, american football and baseball, but I would never say that all bosnians or europeans for that matter hate those american sports as well.

I can understand that soccer may be a bit complicated for people of your caliber but don't put all of your countrymen into the same bucket.
