  • Hey guys,

Not sure if we have any poker players here or not, but i've set myself a challenge to try an be a winning player at Turbo heads-up games.

My goal - To start from $1.10 buy-in's and to play consistently and beat $10+1 buy-in levels.

My goals: Mininum of 400+ game's a month, playing 2 table's minimum at a time, this works out about 3 hours worth a poker an evening playing 2 tables, 4 days a week around 120 game's a week.

Blinds in each game are just 3 minutes long, so you need to learn your opponent very quickly.

Just to put in perspective that this won't be any easy feat just to earn a $100 at the lowest level's over 400:-

    400 buy-in's @ $1.10 each = $440.

I need to be averaging around 7 wins in every 10 game's.

So let's say 280 wins out of 400 (1st place takes all the money which is $2)

    so 280x2 = $560

    $560 - $440 = $120 profit.

That's on a basis that i hit my target's I'm starting with $100, so nearly 100 buy-in's the swings (downswings..basically where your favourite to win a lot of pots and you lose consistently in a row) will probably be quite big, but I don't know how big.

I'm hoping within 3 months time I'm consistently beating $2.20 ATLEAST and hopefully I'll be at $5 +.50 level which would mean I'm only one level off from my goal!

I'll keep you guys posted, I have an online bankroll management, and i'll post my graphs/winnings OR losses on the 28th of Next month to show you how i'm progressing.

I need a new challenge and this is motivating me. I hope I can crack it :)

  • Gl & Hf, this is not a simple task :)

I like Texas Hold'em too, and as the exams period is over, we'll too finally sit around the table with my friends on next Monday :)
