It should be clear that the Nexuiz Community will continue to provide Nexuiz to people around the world for free. (We have the code and we are not afraid to use it!)
I would further like to point out that individuals from the Nexuiz Community already made attempts to port the original Nexuiz (GPL Nexuiz) to handhelds and consoles. Also, i want to emphasize that i encourage you to advertise this community and the free game.

i can imagine this situation is difficult for Lee, too. He must have had plans for selling the game since the beginning, or thoughts about a commercial version, at least.
