Well, im a newbie to this game, and i think its ace! The Gameplays good, and its enjoyable. Good game, although, im usinng a laptop with no mouse, so it can be hard.

Are there any tips or tricks, anyone can give me to imrpove?

Well, then welcome again. But PLEASE don't post the same things on several threads. It's simply annoying and people will quickly get fed up and start to ignore you completely.

Of course there are plenty of tricks to learn. If you really don't know much about Nexuiz movement and weapons, I'd recommend to read the "basics.html" that is contained in your Nexuiz/Docs/ folder. It sure is worth reading, gives a lot of movement tips and explains how the weapons work.

Then I'd like to point you to www.nexuizninjaz.com, they have some great tutorial videos on how to do bunny hopping properly and how to use laser for jumping (laser jumps).

For more advanced techniques like ramp jumping, have a look at the "nexuiz in depth" youtube channel (especially the last episodes) that was made by our dear fellow GreEn m'Arine (see his post here: viewtopic.php?f=1&t=4717)

Also don't hesitate to ask people online. Sometimes they are really nice and show you how to do tricks. In Europe, there is also a dedicated "beginner's" server.

As a last notice I'd like to point you to some unfortunate recent developments that caused most of the Nexuiz community to abandon this forum and also the project: read here for more viewtopic.php?f=4&t=6079). You can find almost the whole Nexuiz community at www.xonotic.org nowadays.

Welcome - in case you have questions, just post them here and I will try to answer them. But in any case you'd have more chances of people replying If you post them to the xonotic forum. As I wrote, most of the former Nexuiz community moved over there and this forum is populated only by very few people and a bunch of spam bots as far as I can see.
