Do you remember Cube? Its called Sauerbraten now. Their servers lack players worse than Nexuiz.

Cube had something missing for me so i never really played it.. Sauerbraten looks quite nice and also has a huge increase in gamesize. Maybe i'll take a look at it this weekend

Cube was great for a 15 minute romp - playing for any longer made me nauseous though. I stopped playing it after I got a new pc that could actually run Nexuiz. =-)
(Also, the number of good players dropped off gradually, cube is a pretty old game after all.)

I usually give each Sauerbraten release a quick spin, haven't really gotten into it though.

Can someone tell me what the hell you do in that game?


is it a FPS or what?


and if so what is the movement like? the weoepns and maps looked really awesome from what i saw graphically i mean

Tried it quickly yesterday, first time.

Movement feels kinda rougth, but its workable.

Weapons, not sure yet. i tried to do some sp levels bu i just didet have teh patinace to get for that. So i hopen online and joind a serv witch turned out to be instgib xD

Graphically its nice, tho a bit boxy at times.

Yeah cube is a FPS. Its not build to be very nice but to show off a new render concept. Involves building a map consiting of cubes . Sauerbraten is something like cube2. Its much improved and much nicer.
Cube featured a simple singleplayer mode and the 'normal' modes from online play. But as far as i know only instagib was played online.
Both games feature a ingame edit mode for the maps and (very cool) you can even edit a map in teams. Just start your server in edit mode and let others join.
Sauerbraten got much advanced features as bumpmapping, normal and gloss maps so it can look very very nice as you can see on the screenshots.
But as i said i never player cube for real and up to the last release i thought sauerbraten was still beta.. Will be interesting to watch this game mature.
