At moment the NML-guys are still testing server-settings to guarentee a smooth minsta-experience.

This looks very promising, keep it up!

I'm taking a look.

Although i dislike a lot of the minsta settings (crazy re-fire time must make games over 2v2 very very spammy )

spawn protection etc

I will still take a look, and be interested in 1on1/clan matches etc, I just hope they have better servers then the minsta tounrament, because they were pretty aweful for me and some others, noticeably bad for players not from germany, so I hope other servers will be on the list.

Can we sign-up there yet, i see a login box but no sign-up area?

The Login-Function is only for the bloggers atm.

Minsta.net is mentioned to inform you about the clan-scene from now till the league starts
The registration for the league will happen later.

I just hope they don't use that weird mix of antilag from the last tournament, I think that was the problem but I have no idea if it was just the server was poor for me and others, if possible? some servers not based just in germany, if not then hopefully no weird 2.4.2/2.5 mix of antilag

So here comes the Server concept (i am busy at moment, that's why it took so long):

The Servers of the Minsta-Clans that will take part at the NML will host the league-matches on their server.
The Servers will be hosted with a pre-configured Client.
1on1 between Clans that don't own a server will be played on the 1on1 servers of other Clans with server
I suggest that following clans will sponsor servers:
PK(german server), prophets(netherlands), ToT(germany again)

Game-Modes that should be played are:

1on1 DM Ladder
3on3 TDM Ladder
3on3 CTF Ladder
5on5 CTF Ladder
3on3 CTF Tournament (~monthly)

From what i remember prophets servers were very good from me (the one i played on public anyway), but I haven't played on there since the tournament, but I will check it out anyway, thanks growl, I will try the PK servers and ToT one's again, I just hope they don't use that weird 2.4.2/2.5 anti-lag crossover, now that 2.5.1 has good anti-lag.

Oh btw, you should encourage the minstagib community to come on IRC and support #nexuiz channel

I will look into a UK/NL server in the forseeable server for our clan, but waiting to start my new job (still) and also I don't really play enough for quite a while now, so need to get my activity back up

Means:

The NML-sends a config to the clans that has to be used on the servers for the league games.
So the servers should give u all the exactly same game-experience.

2.5.1 will be used with it's own physics.

There are a lot of new and good minsta players waiting for the tourney.

So, you'd have to replace "client" with "config" and it's all good.

The Registration is just for beein registred there.

The Sign up process is a concrete process for taking part at Season One of the NML

I'm sure the minsta settings on the delight servers seem's slower (re-fire rate seems slower) then what i remember...I mean re-fire rate or maybe it's just me, anyone who can verify this?


Growl, I made a comment on the website about will there just be one big league, or will there be different divisions for players of around the same skill-level for 1on1? Wouldn that make more sense to allow for players to play at there level? but i'm not sure if that's possible or even has been considered?

Is the league just play games when you want, or is there going to be some schedule, I'm presuming it's just you play when you want and isn't like a tournament similar to how clanbase.com does the leagues.

P.S Growl if I get permission from green, would it be possible we can also use the delight.vapor.com server's to be added to the server list for the league and set with the league's minsta settings for 1on1?

Lot's of people use these servers and they have good ping for german players and are very good with most other people.

In general I am not against using ladder servers in minsta leagues or so. But consider this: once a lot of minsta-players know about the server, they'd probably use it a lot, and other players from the normal deathmatch-community will suddenly have no servers to play anymore.

Yeah ok, I see what your saying, I wonder if growl can tell us how many servers there are at the moment, that can be used, and there addresses. would like to check them out.
