Please rate map and background music if possible. Best played with a subwoofer as the middle of the song uses alot of low notes (much of the backing of the song is lost on the 2 speaker setup but comes through on my 9.5 speaker plus 2 subwoofer setup in my room.

On version 10 that I posted yesterday, yes as I had func_snow s around.
On version 11 which I have posted today (and updated on yesterdays NN post) I have removed the func snows because they gave me 1 FPS on my nvidia card. One FPS.

Download version 11. It has more turrets, another weapon spawn, and a few slight other things, and no func_snow.

One question... where am I supposed to use func_snow since on any map I make it slows things down so much?

We all know who this is.

However, can you guys try for ONCE to not provoke him, and just wait what happens? He'll sure gets his next ban if he starts his rambling again, but how do you know he will do?

Let this guy post his maps. You don't have to like them. You don't even have to play them, as most servers don't even host them because they take so long to load.

If you really want to get rid of him, try ignoring him. That works best. Let his threads die without a single reply. He'd lose interest very soon then. But banning simply isn't worth it - there's so many open proxies in Korea, China and at Universities, he can get as many IPs as he wants.

Awesome map, besides the turrets... There are way too much of them IMHO... And it's not only a problem for playability, the servers suffer from it too.

I appreciated the effort (?) you made in giving players multiple possibilities to enter/exit the bases, too. The lack of these was a negative point in some of your other maps (desertcastles for example)

I don't have a problem with the turrets but I think the average player does

I actually enjoy this map. I think it's definitely one of his best yet. I suppose you can argue the turrets are a bit excessive but it also forces you to be fast. If you give it enough time, you should be able to figure out multiple routes where you don't get shot (as I have).

I think players, even self-proclaimed advanced players who find themselves ~too good~ for mikeeusa's maps are too intimidated by the challenges he presents. With all of his maps, you can break it down into simple and fun problems.

RSR is one of the most enjoyable flag runs I've had. It's like a defrag challenge of sorts. It would actually make a good race map if one base were taken out and more challeneges presented (or not if you're grego).

Mikeeusa's maps provide a level of map environment and interactivity we don't often find from other mappers. They are also GPL, so fork anyway you'd like. Sure it might not be your taste but too many people in this community have trouble separating his maps from his attitude... which admittedly he tries to blend obnoxiously in some of his maps ([don't] see the top of EVAD).


Anyway... he's well aware of his politics and smart enough to know when to censor himself. The "problem" is that he doesn't want to and enjoys the drama that ensues. It's obvious that his actions are trying to stir up feelings. He gets his jollys from this.


Options like "Automatically Terrible due to Author of Map, furthermore the Author should be rotting in jail for hate crimes, and I intend to put him there. Justice. Justice. Bubba. Pink Triangles. Apple computer corp. Modern American and western culture and freedom."

These voting options should not be allowed and a moderator should be censoring this. This sub-forum should actually have some sort of "robot" system for submitting a map... to avoid such differences in voting options.


By voting on these CLEARLY FOR THE SAKE OF TROLLING options, you are feeding into his web of bullshit. If you vote these, congratulations of being part of the problem. You are justifying these negative actions, giving him motivation to troll.
