  • Personally i don't think you should 'propone' the brackets too much.

  • Well, we will see how the brackets go. For the group stage if makes sense, since actually more than half of all the matches have already been played in the 1st week, so it just makes sense to play the even smaller second half in the 2nd week. I am not cancelling this schedule.

  • Finally the matches of round 2 and 3 have been played (except for a few no-shows) and the group stage is finished. Now the bracket stage begins. As you know, we will use the double elimination system.

The only difference of the procedure of playing matches compared to the group stage is: from now on you have to go to the Brackets page to look up your matches and to enter the match reports.

You should make an appointment with your opponent as soon as possible. The deadline is next sunday, the 28th of September!

Make sure to record and upload the demos of your bracket games!

We wish good luck to all the players!

You can find the brackets here: http://nex1vs1eu.tourney.cc/brackets/

This news applies only to the EU part of the tourney for now, if everything works fine, tomorrow the NA brackets will be ready, too.

  • Brackets for North American Tournament have been created.

Group stage was a success, with only a few no-shows, congrats to everyone!

See you all in the brackets, this is going to be a lot of fun. :)

  • Hey guys! This tourney is awesome, although I can't play due to distance issues (I'm living in Argentina) I'm having lots of fun watching the matches, but I've noticed there are a lot of missing demos on the site.

If I remember correctly uploading an screenshot with the scores is a requirement, should the demo upload be a requirement ? Should the demos be saved at server-side, so the admins can upload it to the tourney page?

You know .. maybe we are missing a lot of fun!

    Cheers

  • The demo upload is not "forced" but anticipated. We will probably see a few more demos once the tourney is over ;)

    UPDATE
The matches of the LB bracket round 3 and 4 have been played. The matches left to play is the LB final, WB final, and after that the Consolation finals and then the Grand finals

    European tournament:
Winners bracket final: dIM vs KojaK
Losers bracket final: verteidiger vs GreEn`mArine

    North American tournament:
Winners bracket final: TwEaK vs Usil666
Losers bracket final: Diabolik vs nifrek

The exact date of these matches is not scheduled yet. I am trying to get the matches broadcasted with live audio by tChr! Although this is great news, it also makes finding a date a bit more difficult. Once I have more info, I'll post it again.

  • It's also hidden pretty much, if theres an actual section devoted to actual tournaments, it will help attract more players beyond the pub server scene
