Ive been seeing alot about this game so i thought id check it out and unfortunatly i got a trojan when i extracted the zip file is this normal? My AVG 8 is never wrong and updates every 4 hours so id like someone to explain why this file has a trojan in it.

Where did you download it from?
and AVG can generate false positives.

No. Nexuiz does not include a trojan and never had done.

a. You've downloaded a version that some unscrupulous person has loaded witha trojan. There are complete blithering idiots who do this on Warez sites despite Nexuiz being open source.

See this thread how you can get the latest development version of Nexuiz for Windows, how to compile it on your own, and you'll see, that this game has no built in trojan or whatever.

Note, that a lot anti-virus are using a so called "heuristics", and maybe your AVG has got a false report because of this.
Also, Nexuiz 2.3 is outdated like it's stated above, get 2.4.2 as that's the newest version.
Trust me, I'm playing this game since 1.0, I've played every versions since then, I've built my own on my linux box from the source code, and since pure addiction, Nexuiz has never casused any harm

Seriously though, Tells us WHERE you downloaded this file and WHAT trojan you think it contains. And.. all anti virus software can be wrong. Oh and ONE thread abt the same thing is enough.

I found out it was the hureistics(did i spell that right im such a neewb) Im sorry i posted it twice but thanx for the help and advice i posted all the details on my original thread. And agains sorry if i sounded like an ass i didnt meant to freak out ,you guys have been very helpful and i hope version 2.4.2 works well i cant wait.
