Hey to the dev team!

I just wanted to ask something concerning the alientrap.org website..

I'm a professional web designer and I thought I'd like to contribute to the team somehow (seeing as you've done so much already with volunteers). I'd more than pleased to re-design the front page of alientrap.org, for free. I realise you probably don't need any help, or need any at the moment ..but I've got a couple of gaming sites behind me and I think I could do a really good job with it. Not to mention I feel I owe something to you guys for making such an awesome game

These are a couple off the top of my head, the other gaming skins + sites (mostly for phpbb) have really obscure URLs but I'll see if I can find them if you need any more convincing haha

I code HTML,CSS, Flash and some PHP (my colleague does the majority of the PHP + Object Oriented stuff). All raw, pure code baby. TextEdit + Safari for the code and layout, LiveQuartz/SeaShore/GIMP for the graphics. I have some skills in Blender/Sketchup/Terragen but only as supplements to the web design. Sometimes I dip into NVU/Dreamweaver for preliminary ideas but the code is too messy and I believe the best work is made from the bottom up. I test with all browsers of course, although the two sites under construction still need a little attention in IE (always a bugger to fix). I have around 3 years amateur experience and a little over 4 months of professional design.

How about I botch up a few ideas in the next couple of days and you let me know what you think?

I was just thinking the other day that at could use a makeover. Creating some mockups sounds good . Try to include the "official" logo that's on the Nexuiz homepage: www.nexuiz.com (the alien head).

Or even better, use the alienhead idea, and redo the logo too!

Kompozer is updated fork of Nvu. Maybe you would like it better.

Geany is my favorite Linux text editor.

Sounds good to me, the site does really need a redesign

I'll use the main logo primarily but I'd be happy to have a shot at the logo too if you'd like. I have a couple of logos I've made lying around my hard drive somewhere.. if you'd like to see them? (my avatar is one I made for a plug-in called Nautica)

So is it just the one page with an about section, and links for Nexuiz, Zymbotic and the Forums? I can add a couple of things like a newsletter system, a mini sort of 'announcements' section on the front page or a bit of info about each game underneath each link kind of thing etc. any ideas please let me know and I'll see what I can do
